Skills
"Include at least 3 ways you will use technology for students to practice a skill that you taught, and include a specific example." - Dr. Tammy Graham
Locating States/CountriesWhat kid doesn't want to play games for homework? There are sites that make it fun for kids to learn about states and countries while providing different levels of difficulty to help students progress. National Geographic has some pretty neat resources too, including activities about Lewis and Clark, Geography Bee, and fact cards about the Grand Canyon.

TimelineValuable in-class practice can be achieved by guiding students through an application of what they had just learned. For example, when learning about timelines, students can approach the board and, using a SMART Notebook document, drag events into the right place, making them disappear or return to their original position.

Primary SourcesHave students interview each other and a family member, and have an activity during class to help them formulate questions! The Citadel Oral History Program has a great set of interviews which could provide a great basis for a curriculum. You could also give students a class project which includes the creation of a newspaper of a time period using primary sources they found.
